The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Hiram Everett Barker was born at Magazine, Arkasas, November 28, 1885 and departed this life at the Western State Hospital, Fort Supply, Oklahoma, on November 1, 1950 at the age of 64 years, 11 months and 2 days. His father, mother, 2 sisters and 2 brothers preceded him in death. He leaves 2 sisters: Mrs. Ella Ellexson of Liberal, Kansas, and Mrs. Lillien McCumber of Arnett, Oklahoma; and four brothers: W.R. Barker of Wichita, Kansas, Luther Barker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Arthur Barker, San Benito, Texas, and Walter of Arnett. He came to Ellis County in his early teens and spent his entire life in different parts of the county, until about 8 years ago he moved to Strong City, Oklahoma. He entered Western State Hospital as a patient on July 25, 1946. Rev. Jack Hisey officiated at the funeral service with Rev. George Gassar assisting. Services were conducted at the chapel of the Stetcher Funeral Home at Woodward, Oklahoma and interment made in the Woodward cemetery. Pall bearers were: George Baldwin, Ellis Wells, Roy Sutton, L.C.
