Brookshier and passed away January 11, 2000 in the Great Plains Regional Medical Center, Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 4 months, and 32 days. Gale graduated from Berlin High School and married Sue Donna Burnam on May 22, 1954 near Wheeler, Texas. They lived in the Berlin community where he farmed before moving to Elk City in 1985 to make their home. After moving to elk City, Gale worked a a realtor for Feather Realty and Century 21 until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the Second and Adams Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 infant sister. Survivors include his wife Sue of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in- law, Candace and David Schneberger, and Robin and David Lantz, all of Elk City, Oklahoma; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Bobbie Brookshier, Elk City, Oklahoma, 1 brother, Wayne D. Brookshier of Cherry Valley, California; 5 grandchildren, casey and Corye Lantz, Cody Brookshier, Brandy Aldridge, and Brooke Schneberger; and 1 great granddaughter, Shelby Aldridge. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Firday, January 14, 2000 at the Second and Adams Church of Christ, officiated by Rod Minor, and assisted by Tom Harguess.
