The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok 9-Jun-1983 Funeral mass for Charles Edward Brady, 71, 901 Latta Rd, was held Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he was a member. The Rev. Phillip Berning, Chandler, former pastor, officiated and burial was in the Memorial Park. Mr. Brady died Monday in an Oklahoma City Hospital following a long illness. He was born July 10, 1911, in Grimes, Oklahoma to Richard Francis and Sarah Pearl Brady, and came here in 1939 from Oklahoma city. He attended both Oklahoma State University and East Central. Mr. Brady was a retired life underwriter for National Life and Accident Insurance Co. He was in the U.S. army during World War II, serving in the European Theater. Mr. Brady was past president and past secretary-treasurer for the Life Underwriters for National Life and received numerous leadership honors among life underwriters. He was a member of the president's advisory council for East Central, and served on the finance committee for St. Jospeh's. On August 9, 1941 he and Mattie Mae Aldridge were married in Okmulgee. Survivors include his wife, Mattie of the home; two daughters, Wanita Danley, Ada and Mrs. Burtis Williams, Abilene, Texas; one son, Charlesd Edward II, Elmore City; two sisters, Mary Harman and Kathleen Brady, both of Mesa, Arizona; one brother, Leo Brady, California; and six grandchildren. Criswell's is in charge of arrangements.
