Bradford were conducted from the Martin Funeral Chapel, Tuesday, January 31, 1984 with Rev. Steven Burke and Rev. Bob Cocke officiating. Burial followed in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma. Mr. Bradford died in an Oklahoma City hospital early Saturday morning January 29, 1984 at the age of 60. He was born in the Sandstone community northwest of Elk City, January 17, 1924. when he was four years old, his family moved to Roger Mills County near Durham, hwere he lived until he enlised in the U.S. army. He served in New Guinea, Leyte, Luzon and Japan. He received several decorations, including the Bronze Star. He was married to Lucille Miller, September 8, 1942. When he was discharged from the service, they established their home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They lived there until 1952, when they moved to Elk City where they lived until 1973. They then moved to a farm near Shawnee, where they lived until July of 1983. In 1983, they moved to the Jones Community, east of Oklahoma City. His occupation was a carpenter and a farmer. He was a member of Earlsboro Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucille of the home; two sons, Ronald E. Bradford of Edmond, and Roger Dean Bradford of Jones; two daughters, Odessa Knight of Tulsa, and linda Sedbrook of Edmond; six brothers, Robert Bradford of emporia, Kansas, J.D. Bradfcord of Burkburnett, Texas, Jr. Bradford of Waynoka, Carl and James Bradford, both of Enid; four sisters, Minnie Means of Cheyenne; Mary Lou Kelly of Gentry, Arkansas; Stella and Martha Brigham, both of Kerrville, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.
