Bradford, were held Thursday, December 31, 1942, at the Baptist church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He was born at Oleta, Texas, January 4, 1910, departed this life December 28, 1942, at Elk City, Oklahoma, at the age of 31 years, 11 months and 24 days. At the age of 11 he came with his parents to Oklahoma, and hasx lived his life around Elk City and Cheyenne. In 1937 he went to Texas. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Faye Goodman. To this union three children were born: Imogene, Donald Gene and William Boyd. Left to mourn his passing are the following: his wife and three children; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bradford of Durham, Oklahoma; 7 brothers and sisters. They are Mrs. Nancy Potter, Elk City, Oklahoma; Mrs. Minnie Means, Cheyenne; Mrs. Mary Kelly, Cheyernne; Mrs. Frances Newlin, Dacoma; Mrs. Stella Davis, Cheyenne; Pvt. Robert Bradford, stationed at De Ridder, Louisiana; Otis, J.W., W.T. Jr., Martha, Carl and James, all with the parents at Durham. Charlie has been in ill health for 2 years but his death was a shock to all who knew him. He worked until he was taken to the hospital. He was not a member of any church, although he believed in God and said he was ready to go to meet his Saviour. He sang, before his passing, "Oh, Meet Me Over In The Glory Land." His remains were laid to rest at the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
