He was the second of four children bron to William Perry and Mary Louise Glasgow Bradshaw. He died Monday, May 20, 1978, at the age of 39 in a tragic plane crash near Canton Lake in Northwestern Oklahoma. For Buzz, Packsaddle Ranch, located eighteen miles south of Arnett, was home. He grew up on the ranch and was an active part of his father's ranching operation. After graduating from Arnett High School in 1966. Buzz attended Southwestern State College in Weatherford, OK, for one year and then transferred to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. After his father's death in March of 1968. Buzz returned to Packsaddle to assume the responsibilities of managing and operating the ranch. On July 6 of that same year (1968), Buzz was married to Carolyn Sue "Sparky" Sparkman of Elk City, OKlahoma. Packsaddle Ranch was home for Buzz and Sparky and for their two sons, Jason and Jack. In November of 1974, Buzz was elected by the people of District 59 to represent them in the State House of Representatives. He served in the 35th legislature, 1977-78. During his four years in office, Buzz served on numerous committees, including the House Appropriations Committee, the Banks and Banking Committee, the Agriculture Committee, and Wildlife Committee. During the 1978 session, he served as the vice-chairman of the influential House Ways and Means Committee and was the First Assistant Majority Floor Leader of the House. At the time of his death, Buzz was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He had professed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in May of 1954. He was baptized at that time as a public testiomony of his faith. Through that act of baptism, he became member of the Cheyenne Church. Buzz was a member of the Oklahoma Cattleman's Association of the Norhtwest Texas Cattle Raisers Association, and of the Oklahoma Field Trial Association. He was also a 32nd degree Mason and a member of St. Albans Lodge #192 in Arnett. In addition, he was a member of the Northwest Oklahoma Shriners Temple, located in Woodward, Oklahoma. Having been preceeded in death by his father, Perry, Buzz is survived by his wife, Sparky, and his two sons, Benjamin Jason and Daniel Jack. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Bradshaw of Oklahoma City; by his two brothers, Mike Bradshaw of Shattuck, Oklahoma, and J.T. Bradshaw of Arnett, Oklahoma; and by his sister Salley Bradshaw of Vici, Oklahoma. In addition to these of a host of other relatives, friends, and associates who mourn his untimely death.
