Rev. Harry Comer, pastor of the Baptist church delivered the funeral sermon. Mrs. Bardshaw's death came as a great shock to her friends and relatives, as apprently she was in good health when she left Cheyenne a few days prior to her passing, to visit her parents at Broger, Texas. Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne in charge of arrangements. Norma Jeanne, only child of Mr. and Mrs. R.C. French was born April 18, 1928 in Morris, Oklahoma. She graduated from high school at Phillips, Texas, in 1945, then attended Oklahoma A. & M. at Stillwater. She was united in marriage with James L. Bradshaw, February 1, 1947 in the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Bradley at Okmulgee, Oklahoma, after which the couple established their home in Cheyenne. To this union was born one son, James Richard, who is 22 months of age. Having been a Christian the greater part of her brief life, Norma Jeanne was received into the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne, November 14, 1947. She departed this life about 10:00 o'clock Sunday morning, October 19, 1952, at Borger, Texas. Survivors include her husband, James L. Bradshaw and small son, James Richard, Cheyenne; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. French, Borger, Texas; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.E. Bradley, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Mrs. J.M. Bradhaw and family of Cheyennbe, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. "Frenchie," as the people of Cheyenne affectionately called her, lived an active life. Her personality endeared her to her associates. She was very capabel and wise for her years.
