Burtnett After an illness of mored than six weeks, D.C. Burtnett died Monday evening, January 30, 1906 at his home in Croton township, four miles southeast of Hamburg. His death was due to an affection of the heart of several years standing. The deceased was about 38 years of age, a native of Illinois and removed with his family from Nebraska to Oklahoma three years ago and soon afterward took up his residence on a claim in Croton township. He leaves a wife and five children. The remains were laid at rest in the Rankin cemetery (now White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma), Tuesday afternoon at 4o'clock, Rev. Howe conducting the services at the grave. (Wondereed if it meant INFECTION of the heart but it states affection...)
