Harold Creech, 18, also of Durham, died in an Elk City hospital a few hours after the crash. Young Barton later was removed from Elk City to a Shattuck hospital, where he died. Funeral services for Barton were to be held Saturday afternoon at the Bellview school with Evangelist W.T. Vaughn of Cordell officiating. Burial was to be in the Bellview cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ella Barton of Durham; four sisters and three brothers. Sisters are Mrs. Willie Neu of Arnett, Mrs. Ruby Rogers of Bakersfield, California, Velma Brown and Miss Fay Barton, both of Durham. Brothers are Floyd, Milburn and Fred Barton, all of Durham. The two youths were injured fatally when the truck in which they were riding struck the railing of the Dead Indian creek bridge on U.S. 283 about eight miles north of Cheyenne. Orville Bullard, driver of the ruck suffered a broken leg and is in a Shattuck hospital. Two other men in the truck escaped with minor injuries.
