"Adide" was the third living child of Nancy Elizabeth and John Henry Taylor moved with her parents north of Berlin where they lived in a rock house. She attended school at Bellmont and later worked as a telephone operator in the Berlin telephone office. Addie married charles Holden Brothers in October of 1921 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma and to this union were born four children; Josephine elizabeth, John Everett, Phyllis June and Joseph Dixon. they farmed in the Durham, Grimes, Reydon and Strong City communitites. They owned a country store in Grimes and in 1934 they moved to Quileen, Washington before returning to Crawford in 1936. After charles passed away, Addie moved to Sayre and lived near the Rose Hill Commnunity where she worked for Berlin Schools. During World War II, Addie lived in Edmond, OK and worked at the Douglas Aircraft Plant. In October of 1945 she married her brother-in-law, Hembree Alan (Dick) Brothers in Edmond. They lived in Mooreland, Sayre, Louisville, Kentucky, Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Lawton and Elgin, Ok before Dick retired from the military and they moved to Cheyenne, OK to make their home. Addie was a mber of the Christian Church, Eastern Star and American Legion. She always had something nice to say to everyone. Her sense of humor delighted everyone who knew her, she made friends everywhere she lived and was a joy to know. She was preceded in death by her parents, both hubands, 1 infant son, 1 daughter,3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by 1 daughter, Josephine Daugherty and her husband, Oliver of Cheyenne, OK; 2 sons, John and his wife Sandra Brothers of Edmond, OK, J.D. Brothers of Burkburnett, TX; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 1 sister-in-law, Mayzell Brothers of Nocoma Park, OK and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held Sunday, July 28, 1991 at 3:00 p.m. in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with A.L. Martin officiating. Burial followed with Rose Chapel Funeral service in charge of arrangements.
