Brown Coy M. Brown, 72, was born to Otto and Florence Brown September 4, 1924 and entered into rest, June 17, 1996 at Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, Jean Brown of Oklahoma City, a sister, Wilma Jean Williamson of Leedey, Oklahoma, two nieces, Mary Ann Campbell and Amy Smith of McCloud, Oklahoma, two stepdaughters, Karen and Dale Britton of Moore, Oklahoma and Janet and Richard Kilgore of Liberal, Kansas and four grandchildren. Coy grew up in the Leedey community and went to college in Weatherford. He was in the Army Air Corps in World War II and also in the Korean War. He spent most of his adult life working in the oil industry and retired from Kerr-McGee Corp in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he resided until his death. He was active in Hillcrest Christian Church of Oklahoma City and also kept a close tie with the First Baptist Church of Leedey. He loved to keep close contact with all of his family and friends. Services were held at the First Baptist church of Leedey, June 19, 1996 and then memorial services at Hillcrest Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma the same afternoon.
