After and extended illness. Memorial services were held Monday August 1, 1983 at 3 p.m. in Sayre First Baptist Church with Rebv. Carl Coffey officiating. She was a friend to all who knew her and will be missed by all. Burial followed in the Lone Oak Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre. Edith Barker was born February 16, 1915 near Rankin (Reydon) Oklahoma. She graduated from Rankin High School She was married to Ira Lee Brown on October 20, 1935 in Sayre. In 1936 they moved to Sunny Point, then moved to Sayre in 1979. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brotrhers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 2 sons, Jack Lee of Cheyenne and Richard Warner Brown of Weatherford, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Fred of Clarksdale, Arizona; Glen of Kingman, Arozona, Arthur Barker of Sayre; four sisters, Vera Byers, Truxton, Arizona, Leora Sullenberger of Sayre, Creda Miller of Erick, Oklahoma, Ruth Hughes, Reydon, Oklahoma.
