Brown Services were held in Norman, Monday for Algie A. Brown, 71, longtime Roger Mills County lawyer who died in a Norman hospital Friday a few hours after suffering a cerebral hemorriage. Born February 18, 1881, in Jackson County, N.C., Brown moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma in 1910 and practiced law there for some 25 years. The family came to Norman in 1948, following his retirement. In addiation to his wife, Florence, and a son, Donald, at the home in Norman. Brown is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lynn Russell, Chickasha, and two grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Dr. F.F. Brown, Knoxville, Tennessee and Homer Brown, in Arizona, and three sisters, Mrs. W.H. McMurray, Syanona, N.C .; Mrs. Julia Woods, New Orleans, La, and Miss Vera Brown, Ashville, Tennessee. Rev. E.F. Hallock, Norman conducted services in the Primrose funeral home. A Spanish-American war veteran, Brown was buried in Forth Gibson National cemetery by the side of a son, David Horace Brown, who was killed in World War II. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK 9-Oct-1952
