Burns Services for Mrs. C.L. Burns were held in the Church of Christ, Thursday, November 16, 1967, with Rev. George Franks officiating. Pearl Smith was born October 13, 1905 at Deport, Texas, the eldest child of Cleve and Ruthie Smith. She came to Cheyenne, Oklahoma with her parents at the age of three months and has lived in Roger Mills County, with the exception of a year in Colorado, until the time of her death, November 14, 1967. She was united in marriage to Clifford L. Burns on October 20, 1922. To this union two sons were born, Leland and Bob. Pearl Burns became a member of the Church of Christ in 1925. Her whole purpose of living waas centered around her church, her family, and her home. She is survived by her husband Clifford L. Burna of Cheyenne; two sons, Leland W. Bruns of Cheyenne; and Bobby J. Burns of Shreveport, Louisana; four grandchildren, Mickey, Judy, Jim and Lisa; her mother Mrs. Ruthie Smith of Cheyenne; four brothers, and two sisters, Raymcon C. Smith, Paul J. Smith, Mrs. Oscr Musick and Mrs. Dow Putman all of Cheyenne, Woodrow W. Smith, Portales, New Mexico; Clifford Smith, Emmitt, Idaho, and other relatives. Pall bearers were Collier Tracy, Ab Lovett, Henry Hawkins, Orville Shaller, and Chink Beaty. Committal in Cheyenne Cemetery, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
