Blann and passed away November 30, 1999 in the Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 29 days. Viola graduated from Reydon High School in 1937. She was married to Charles Lee Burns on May 29, 1937 in Reydon, Oklahoma. She continued her education at Southwestern State College and taught school at Reydon, Midway and Durham before going to work for Red Males at Security State Bank for the next 27 years until her retirement. In 1980. Viola was a member of the Cheyenne Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Her survivors are her husband, Charles, of the home; one daughter, Jeannean, and husband, Don Blanton of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one son, Larry R. Burns of Sacramento, California, her twin sister, Violet Stricker, of Woodward, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Rick, Kerry, Lorri, Holli, Bryan, Brent, Tamra, and Tara; and 6 great grandchildren, Romi, Rani, Raymy, Ricky, Kody and Brittany, plus a host of other relatives and friends. Services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 1999 at the Cheyenne Church of Christ, officiated by Willard Cox, and assisted by Kendall Abner.
