Barnes, 68, of The Village in Oklahoma City, will be held at the Sherman Demuth Funeral Chapel in Oklahoma City, Friday at 10 a.m. with Paul Jantzen of Lubbock, Texas, officiating. Graveside services follow at 2 p.m. at Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Mr. Barnes was born May 20, 1919 in Hammon, the youngest son of Epp and Grace Barnes, and died unexpectedly at home on November 24, 1987. He was a longtime employee of Morris Chevrolet and retired in 1982. After his retirement he delighted in helping others through his many skills and talents. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Eddie, of the Oklahoma city home; one son, Karey R. Barnes, of Edmond; two daughters, Kay West of Oklahoma City and Karen Barnes of the home; one sister, Angie Fay Gass, of Hammon, and four grandchildren; also a niece, Sherry Nutley, Elk City.
