All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Barnes, Chambers, Ball, Gass, Crowe Funeral Services for Epp Barnes were conducted from the Martin Funeral chapel, on Thursday, January 3, 1980 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe Clark officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home. Mr. Barnes was born January 16, 1889 in Peaster, Parker County, Texas and died in the Hodges Nursing Home. Early Tuesday morning January 1, 1980 at the age of 90. He came to the Hammon area as a young man, and was mrried to Grace Irene Chambers December 15, 1912 at Hammon. They lived and farmed in the Hammon area, until January, 1956 when they moved to Elk City. Mrs. Barnes preceded him in death December 19, 1974. Mr. Barnes had been a resident of Hodges Nursing Home the past three years, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include 2 sons, Robert "Bob" Barnes of Hammon, and Herman Barnes of Oklahoma City; 2 daughters, Ruth Ball of Gravette, Arkansas, and Angie Faye Gass, Hammon; a daughter-in-law, Naomi Barnes, Hammon; one sister, Nova Lee Crowe, Ponca City, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
