He wa interred in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, OK Friday evening after sundown, Mayr 28, 1926. Mr. Burns has a brother or two in the United State but their location is unknown at present. Mr. Burns had been dead for some time, possibly two days, when he was found, as he had evidently milked and set the milk down and gone to the river after water when he died suddenly from heart failure. He had started up a hill with two buckets of water, when seemingly he fell dead turning the water over. The milk that was in the vessel had turned to clabber before he was found, and the body was showing signs of decomposition. Mr. Burns was considered a good citizen in his community. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Roger Mills Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/rogermills/rogermills.html
