Leon Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County under the direction of Martins Funeral Homed of Elk City. Walter Dee Barnes was born September 10, 1944 at Elk City to Walter Dee and Pauline Foster Barnes and died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at the age of 61. He attended Hammon Schools before starting a career in the trucking industry. Dee also was a welder in the oilfield for a time. He was married to Pam Brattian on April 27, 2001. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother. Survivors include his wife, Pam Barnes of the Oklahoma City home, four children, Mike Barnes and wife Jamie of Wedston, Jeff Barnes and wife Michele of Strfafford, Jeffery Kiger and wife Leslie of Blanchard, James Kiger of Oklahoma City, his mother, Pauline Barnes of Bethany; one sister Linda Smith and husband Glen of Blanchard, one brother, Sydney Van Barnes of Sayre, seven grandchildren and a hosat of other relatives and friends.
