She passed away August 21, 2006 at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 16 days. Erma Lea grew up in the Reydon communitgy and graduated from Reydon High School in 1945. After graduation she was married to Billie M. Burns at Reydon, OK on June 19, 1946 and they made Cheyenne their home. In the late 40's she attended beauty school and returned to Cheyenne where she worked for a few beauty shops until she opened her own in the late 50's. In the early 70's she owned and operated the Burns Arts and Gifts where she continued to paint china and ceremics until her death. She was a member of Cheyenne United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie, and one daughter Cheryl Castor. In Leiu of flowers the family woul like for friends to make a donation to the Minnie R. Slief Library in Cheyenne. Survived by two sons, Billy Earl and wife Sadie Burns, Del Norte, CO, and Doran Burns and wife Anna-Marie, Cheyenne, OK; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Roy E. Barker and wife Melva, Reydon, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held August 25, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Fernandio Padeilla, Jr. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklaholma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
