Vincent, was born in Logan county, Oklahoma, January 28, 1908 and passed from this lifeon April 19, 1938 in Richmond, Virginia. She camto to Texas, west of Reydon with her parents when she was 18 months of age. In 1918 she moved to Cheyenne with her parents where she made her home until her marriage on February 21, 1937. At this time she became the wife of W.B. Burnett, the nuptial ceremony occured in Oklahoma City where Ruby was employed in the state capitol at that time. Survivors of her immediate family are her husband and infant daughter, Judith Ann, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Vincent, one brother, Bob Vincent and two sisters, Mary Rucket of Missouri and Nettie Boggs of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She also leaves one half-brother and one half-sister, Jessie Rickert, both of Reydon, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Cheyenne Sunday afternoon, the sermon being delevered by Rev. C.C. Wilson of Ardmore who baptized Ruby into the church, and who also, performed the marriage ceremony which united her in marriage. Burial was made in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma in the family plot where other members of the family are buried. Ruby as a girl was very bright, active and enthyustiac, these attributes enabling her to complete high school in three years. She graduated with the class of 1924 from the Cheyenne High School. Shortly after completing a physical weakness from which she never recovered. She was employed in office work in different times in Erick, Elk City and in Oklahoma City. In 1928 Ruby united with the Methodist church of Cheyenne and was one of its most serious workers having worked in the young people's department and as a teacher in the Sunday Schools. She was a charter member of the Cheyenne Business and Professional Women's Club and one of its most enthusiastic members as long as she was in this city. Ruby was a person who was capable of deep friendships. She loved her friends and was ever loyal to them. She chose her friends from every walk of life and from those of every age among whom were children and those of declining years. As an employee she was loyal, steadfast and dependable. As a Sunday School Teacher she was idolized by the members of her class. Her passing from life at an early age is mourned by the entire community and her lifed will liver ever in the memory of her friends.
