Richard was born on April 18, 1923 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He was an Eagle Scout and after graduating high school was drafted in the Marine Corps. Richard married Virgnia Decker in 1943 in Yuma, Arizona just prior to going overseas. He served in World War II and the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952 as a Tech Sergeant. Richard majored in Engineering, received his Bachelor of Science Degree from UCLA in 1958. He worked for Aero Jet General in Azusa, California as an Aeronautical Engineer. Upon retiring he moved to Santa Barbara County in 1976. He resided in Cuyanna unil 1999 and finally moved to Santa Maria for his remaining years. Richard was known for his love for Jesus. He was a member of Grace Bible Church. He was certain that he would spend eternity with Christ and did not depend on what he did or did not do, but what Christ did for him. He is survived by his wife, Virginia L. Beadle of Santa Maris, CA, daughter and son-in-law Jan Louise and Jeff Johns of Grant Bay, CA, daughter Candice Floyd of Long Beach, CA, son Richard I. Beadle of Albuquerque, NM, sister Faye Bowerman of Malakoff, TX, a nephew and his wife John and Hattie Stoddard of Santa Maria and a niece Cathy Stoddard of Santa Maria, 8 grandchildren, special friends Tim and Sandy Mugg and Richard and Suzie Lee, and his faithful dog Dino. Graveside services with full miliktary honors will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, California. Memorial services were held Friday, September 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church, 100 Rodcxeo Drive, Arroyo Grande, CA, 9342 with Reverend Joe Bubar officiating. Memorial contributions in Richard's namre may be made to Grace Bible Church Mission, 100 Rodeo Drive, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420. Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary and Crematory.
