Berry was born March 12, 1900, died March 22, 1910, age ten years and ten days. "Little Johnnie" as she was affectionately called, was a very delicate child, physically and during the past four years has been greatly troubled with weak heart action and has been growing weaker and frailer. This is especially true of the past two years. Her parents havew spared neither time nor money to have her cured, but to no purpose. The death messenger called, and she passed on to "join the silent majority." While she was so young that we would think that she had thought but little of ther "world beyond," or of the sustaining grace of God, yet, during the last night of her suffering, she, realizing that she was nearing the borer of the "river of death", told those who watched by her bed that she was going to die and go to be with the angels and saids she could see them waiting for her, and some of the loved ones who had past on before. One little cousin who had been gone about three years, and another who had predceded her less than three weeks and said she was going to be with them. About an hour before the end came she had her aunt raise her up, when she offered the following prayer. "O Lord, dear heavenly Father, Won't you help me bear my suffering and to cross over the dark river, to thast beautiful home, to be with the bright shining angels? Amen." She had exchanged a life of sickness and suffering for one where neither sorrow, pain nor tears can ever come. She wqas laid to rest in the Cheyenne cemetery, where the funeral services were conducted in the presence of an unusually large congregation by the pastor of the Baptist Church. Rev. W.F.
