All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Surnames: Black, Gordon, Luallen, Harris Originally posted at: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.oklahoma.counties.caddo/2596.1/mb.ashx Richard Black, 94 years old, who came to Oklahoma in 1877, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Anna Gordon, 1105 Northwest First street, with whom he had lived since his retirement 13 years ago. Black was born in Illinois, moved to Iowa when a boy, went west to Kansas in 1876, and moved to Purcell a year later. When Oklahoma Territory was opened in 1889 he made the run and obtained a farm three miles south of Oklahoma City. He remained a farmer until his retirement. Besides Mrs. Gordon he is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Laura Luallen, 1105-A Northwest first street, and Mrs. Lillie B. Harris, who lives on a farm southeast of Norman.
