Clarence will be remembered here as he resided in the Rankin area quite a while before he re-enlisted in the Navy some few months ago. What makes the accident doubly sad was the fact that his mother had received a letter from him, written the day before his death, in which he informed her that he would receive his discharge within a few weeks and that she could look for him home in the very near future.
