She passed away in a Midwest City hospital on May 28, 2005. Clara Mae graduated from Strong City High School in 1942. Her family was her greatest joy. She took a page from Will Rogers in that she never met a stranger or a person she didn't like. She was a gifted guilter and her quilts will be enjoyed by family through the generations. Clara Mae was preceded in death by her paretns; three grandsons; three sisters---Lena Smith, Francis Osborne, and Fleda Archer. Clara Mae is survived by two sons---Bill and Niki Moman of Midwest City and Rodney Coe of Seattle, Washington; four daughters---Connie and Howard of Sunnyvale, California, Jeri and Gary Shead of Midwest City, and Keeda and Jerry Melton of Midwest City; one brother, Nat ands Betty Taylor of Stillwater; one sister, Dema Mahoney and husbands of Wichita, Kansas; 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren and many other relattives and friends. Clara Mae is the cousin of Josephine Daugherty and J.D. (Joseph) Brothers of Cheyenne. Donations may be made to the Cancer Fund.
