Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church, Strong City, Tuesday, January 19, 1971 at 2:30 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Carl Mabra, Choctaw, Oklahoma. Myrtle Mae Kepley Caffey was born to Robert P. and Elizabeth Kepley December 4, 1882 in Bolivar, Missouir, on Demcember 8, 1904, she was married to Andrew Jackson Caffey (called Jim) who preceded her in death in 1950. To this union three children were born, a son who died in infancey and two daughters, who survive. They are Ehtel Horstkoetter, Hammon, and Ora Bell Leach, Hollis. Ohter surviors are two sons-in-law, John Horstkoetter and John Leach, eight grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. The grand children are John Jr., Doyle, Gene, Lavone Horstkoetter, Delphelenia Herndon, Fred and Robert Leach, Jymany Davis. Aso surviving is a brother Silas Henry (Tone0 Kepley and a sister-in-law Mrs. Silas Henry Kepley, Elk City. A host of nieces and nephews and friends. Mrs. Caffey was a charter member of the Cheyenne Rebekah Lodge of which she had been a member of 69 years. Myrtle Kepley Caffey was a pioneer of Roger Mills County which she and her husband helped develop. She was a loving Mother and a loyal friend. Her toils are past and her work i done, and she isw fully blest, she fought the fight, the victory won, and entered into rest. Interment was in the Strong City Cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
