The dead are: Mrs. Esther Cobb, 46 year old, St. Louis, Missouri and her 10 year old daughter, Cora Evelyn Cobb. Both suffered head and internal injuries in the accident in which three other members of the family were injured. In serious condition at the hospital was Mrs. Mildred Finke, 24 year old St. Louis and a daughter of Mrs. Cobb. Mrs. Finke, who was driving the car suffered severe head injuries. Also injured were Mrs. Cobb's sons James Cobb, 14 year old who received severe head cuts, and Davis Cobb, 18 year old who suffered only minor cuts and bruises. The car was reported to have over turned as Mrs. Finke attempted to pass a team of horses. Hospital attendants said the family was enroute from St. Louis to Elk City to attend the funeral of Mrs. Cobb's mother, Mrs. Miller, Sunday. Mrs. Miller, aged 73, died at her home in Elk City from a heart stroke after an illness of five days. She homesteaded in the Grimes community 38 years ago and made her residence there until two years ago, when she moved to Elk City. She had been a member of the Methodist churfch since girlhood. Survivors are three sons, Harry, Laplett, New Mexico, Walter, Mountain Air, New Mexico and Albert, Deming, New Mexico. Moore funeral directors made the burial arrangements.
