All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Chipps, Roman Nose, Star, White Eagle Services for Jennie Chipps, 74, of Hammon, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hammon Indian Baptist church with Revs. Joe Osage, Max Malone and David Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Hammon Indian Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley Lee Funeral Home in Clinton. Jennie Roman Nose Chipps was born May 24, 1916 to Walker and Woostie Roman Nose in Hammon and died in Oklahoma Memorial Hospital in Oklahoma City, January 16, 1991. Mrs. Chipps was reared in the Quaretermaster area and later married Levi Chipps, living in Hammon all their lives. She was a member of the Indian Baptist church, Hammon Service Club, War Mothers and Native American Indian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include; a nephew, Frank Star; a great- niece Cynthia White Eagle; a great nephew Floyd White Eagle all of Hammon. The traaditional Indian wake will be held today at 7-9-p.m. in the Indian Baptist Church of Hammon.
