She attended Colter School before her marriage to John C. Chapman on September 17, 1927 in Elk City, Oklahoma. They farmed and ranched in the Herring Community. She was a member of the Herring Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Parks and her husband Jr., of Sayre, and Joan Wood and her husband, Louis, of Rocky; and one son, Louis Chapman and his wife, Marlene of Cheyenne, nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City with Rev. Andy Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
