Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Sayre, Monday, March 19, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. with Elbert Shumaker officiating. Burial was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Harrison was born October 6, 1898 in Collin County, Texas. After the death of his father, he moved with his mother and b rothers to Elida, New Mexico, where they homesteaded. In 1911, they moved to Eldorado, Oklahoma. Harrison married Ella Gertrude Patton at Elk City, May 29, 1920. After their marriage they lived in Beckham County. Later they moved to California for 2 years during World War II. They then moved back to Sunny Point where they managed the Sunny Point Store for 5 years and they had the Cotton Store for 1 year. They moved to Sayre in 1964 to make their home. Mr. Cavener had been a member of the Methodist Church for a number of years. He was preceded by his parents, wife, 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by 20 nieces and nephews, One nephew, Lloid Jo Patton, lives in Sayre and a sister-in-law, Lillie Patton of Sayre. Pallbearers were Great Nephews, Honorary pallbearers were Harvey Bartz, Wilbur Cates, Richard Dyson, Jay French, Foster Feland, Clifford Maddox, Earl Tucker and Fledger Martin.
