Aubrey Cowan and Asa Wickens officiating. Born April 1, 1890, in Torn, Glee county, Texas, he married the former Bertha T. Turner at Sayre in 1948. He recently moved to Elk City. Survivors are his wife, Bertha of the home; four stepsons, Joe E. Witt, Elsa, Texas, Roy C. Witt, Carmichael, California, Carl S. Witt, Oklahoma City, Wayne Witt, Roswell, New Mexico; one step-daughter, Arlene Stafford, Dallas, Texas; five sisters, Nannie Grissom, Elk City, Minnie Hammit, Fort Sumpter, New Mexico, May Cypher, Steadc, New Mexico, Della Cooper, Dallas, Texas and Francis Everidge, Oklahoma city; 14 grandchildren; one nephew, Roy E.
