Services were held on the following Sunday at the berlin school auditorium with committal in the Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Scroggins and Son. Mrs. Cheek was married to Tom W. Cheek on December 17, 1903. He served as president of the Oklahoma Farmers Union from 1930 to 1935. She was born in Italy, Texas, moving to Oklahoma Territory and to the Grimes community as an infant. She resided in Sayre until 1930 when she moved to Oklahoma City. She moved to Grimes in 1947. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Royal Neighbors, Rebekah Order, the home demostraation club and was active in civic affairs. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. ira M. Finley of Okahoma City; Mrs. R.P. Aragues, Great Falls, Virginia and Mrs. G. R. Parman, Grimes, and one son, Tom A. Cheek, Tulsa; three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, two sisters, and three half brothers.
