Cook were conducted Thursday, afternoon, June 19, 1952, in the Methodist church, Hammon, with Rev. M.F. Milburn, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Red Hill cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills county, Oklahoma. Graveside services were conducted by the Odd Fellows of Hammon Lodge No. 552. Mr. Cook was born June 26, 1872 in Avalon, Missouri, and passed away June 18, 1952 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S.H. Martin, in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was married to Nora Iva Steel in Deanlake, Missouri anfd to this union three daughters were born, two passing away in infancy. Mrs. Cook passed away in 1931. Mr. Cook was a member of the First Christian, and had been a member of the I.O.O.F Lodge for fifty-eight years. Mr. Cook came to Roger Mills county in the early day living on his farm northwest of Hammon until 1948, when he moved to Pryor with his daughter, Mrs. Martin and Mr. Martin. He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughter and son-in-law; one grandson, Jimmy Dale Martin; two great grand-children; one brother, Edd Cook, Kansas City, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews. Out-of-town relatives attending the services included Meesrs. and Mmes. Laverne Richey, Cloud Chief; Marvin Giles, Carnegie; O.lF. Ruddell, Thomas; Floyd Maxfield, Oklahoma City; Kenneth Ruddell, Hydro; Crayton Wells, Weatherford; John Godfrey, Mrs. Ruth Stephens, Mountain View; Mrs. Opal Jaragin, Carnegie, and Mrs. Ina Godfrey, San Pablo, California.
