Miss Casady was born October 10, 1905 in Cheyenne, Indian Territory, OK the daughter of Edward E. and Lettie Cook Casady. They both preceded her in death. she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ama Dean and Beuna Casady, and a stillborn brother. Miss Casady was a member of the Baptist faith. Miss Casady was retired teacher, she taught school for 25 years starting in the rural schools, later in Strong City and Cheyenne, OK. She moved to California in 1952 teaching in the Alpaugh and Tulare schools. She was a charter member of the Alpha Delta Gamma Sorotity, President of the retired teachers association of the state of California for two years. She was voted woman of the year of the Membership in the P.T.A. in recoginition of her willingness to assist with student affairs. Survivors: 1 brother, Paul Casady and wife DeLena of Grove, OK; 4 nephews, Lee Dean of Manor, TX, Roger Dean of Mansfield, MO, Terry Casady of Wellsville, KS, Mick Casady of Ottawa, KS. Graveside services were Thursday, December 28, 1995 in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with Rev. Terrell Romberg officiating.
