Mrs. Casady suffered from cancer and had been bedridden for the past four months. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Cheyenne with the pastor Rev. Bryant in charge, assisted by Rev. Ferguson, pastor of the local Methodist church. Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by the side of her husband who preceded in death five years ago. Among relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were her brother, Jim Dillinger and wife of Graham, Texas; a sister, Mrs. John Foster of Wichita Falls, Texas; another sister, Mrs. Lula Shumaker and her son, Wade Shumaker of Mineral Wells, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. J. Cullen Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Casady and Mrs. Mamie Casady, all of Oklahoma City; Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Trent, Roy Troyer and Mrs. Bill Mathis, all of Clinton; Mrs. Buck Casady of Sayre; Jim Perkins of LaJunta, Colorado. Etta Viola Dillinger was born at Fayetville, Arkansas June 22, 1877. She died in Cheyenne, Oklahoma February 13, 1943, at the age of 65 years, 7 months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to William Robert Casady at Mineral Wells, Texas, in 1894. To this union were born eight children: William Jackson Casady, of Cheyenne, Mrs. Esther Perkins, LaJunta, Colorado, Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Olson, of Cheyenne, Darrius David Casady, Oklahoma City, Jim Casady, Las Animas, Colorado, Mrs. Dalona Smith, Las Animas, Colorado, Mrs Doris Carr, of Los Angeles, California, Donna Troyer of Clinton, Oklahoma. All were present except Mrs. Doris Carr. There are ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild to mourn her passing. The deceased moved to Cheyenne about 42 years aho and soon after moving to this community she was converted and joined the First Baptist church and had been known through these years as living a consecrated Christian life. She loved her church and loyally supported it even during her long illness.
