On November 26 Mr. Castle was accidentally shot while squirrel hunting near Crawford. At that time Mr. castle who resided at Borger, Texas, was visiting in the home of his wife's parents, near Crawford. Funeral services for Mr. Castle were conducted Monday afternoon in the Crawford high school auditorium with Rev. Brodace Elkins of Cheyenne preaching the sermon. Interment was in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne. John Addison Castle was born on May 6, 1908 at Santa Fe, Kansas and passed away December 13, 1947 at the age of 39 years, 7 months and 7 days. He was married to Thelma Smith of Roll, Oklahoma, February 22, 1940. To this union was born two daughters, Jahnon and Judy Runene, who with the wife survive him. Other survivors are his father T.K. Castle of Crawford, Oklahoma, one brother, Ted Castle of Crawford and four sisters, Eva Bryant of Dumas, Texas, Helen Condo, Reydon, Oklahoma, Leona Wilson, Crawford, Oklahoma, and Oril Kent of Los Angeles, California, three half sisters, Dorothy, Pauline and Mary Castle of Crawford and a host of other relatives.
