Thelma, the daughter of Nelson C. "Bob" and Lula Bell Smith, was raised in Roll and on August 5, 1940 she married John Addison Castle in Cheyenne, OK. and the moved to Phillips, TX. After her husand's death in 1947, she moved to Elk City, OK. where for years she cared for people in their homes. Due to her health she had moved to Enid to be near her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother, and 1 sister. She is survivied by 2 daughters: Jahnon Yoes and her husband Myles, of Enid, OK., and Judy Landry of Germany; 2 sisters: June Scrivner of Reydon, OK, and Ruby Lee of Fritch, TX; 3 brothers: Floyd Nelson "Bud" Smith of Pampa, TX, Gordon Smith of Roll, OK, and William Coleman "Dub" Smith of Perryton, TX; 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 11, 1991 at 2 p.m. at the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma with A.L. Martin officiating.
