Cecil passed from this life at her home near Durham, November 3, 1919, after a very short illness of locked bowels. Luelia Wylie was born in Dallas County, Texas, June 1, 1875, and was 44 years, five months and two days old at the time of her death. She was married to W.B. Cecil in 1893. To this union were born ten children three of whom preceded their mother to that other shore. The other seven, together with the husband, one sister and one brother, were at her bed side when she passed away. Early in life Mrs. Cecil became a Christian and united with the Baptist Church. Later she went with her husband into the Methodist church, to which she remained a faithful member until the time of her death Mrs. Cecil was a consecrated Christian and taught her family to follow in the footsteps of the Master. She was an ideal wife and mother and her influence will continue to live although, she is not present in the flesh. The loss to the family is such that it cannot be estimated or measured. The husband is heatbroken over the loss of a loving and faithful companion, with whom he had lived so many years. The children the loss of a mother. They all are strcken with grief over the many find comfort in the though that she was ready and willing to go, and that she awaits them on the peaceful shore where sufferings does not exist and separat9ion is not known. Mrs. Cecil was a great help to the community of Durham and she will be missed by many neighbors and friends. Her place is vacant, but God knows best. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wileman in the presence of a large number of friends, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
