Kresten Norholm. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service. Mary Elizabeth Cochran was born April 9, 1903 in a dugout near Cheyenne to James and Affie Hart and died Friday October 15, 1999 in Vista Care Nursing home in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 96. Mary attended Rocky Front School, between Sentinel and port, and Elk City High School. She married Ted Cochran on December 21, 1922 in Elk City. She and Ted had two sons and two daughters. They farmed in the Sentinel area most of their married life. After Ted's death in 1961, Mary moved back to Elk City where she was an active member of Elk City Church of God. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and superintendent and was active with their missions work. As blindness began to limit her work, she served as Sunday School Secretary and lent a hand when needed. Mary moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1992 to be near her daughter. She was a member of Parkgate Community Church of Pasadena. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, T.R. and Willard, one daughter, Shirley, one granddaughter, Lana Kay and a sister Ruth. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dobri and Peggy Spasic of Pasadena, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Arthena Wicks, Mission, Texas and Evelyn Cochran of Elk City; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; fifteen great great grandchildren; nephews, Tommy, Jack and Bob; and a host of other relatives and friends.
