N. Beauchamp. She passed away October 29, 2006 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 4 days. She was married to W. H. "Bill" Caudle at Taloga, Oklahoma on December 19, 1927 and they lived on a farm eight miles east of Roll. In 1954, they moved off the farm for approximately 6 years before moving back to Roll in 1960 to make their home. She cooked in cafes for 6 years and later was the cook at the Cheyenne Care Center until her retirement. Vera was a housewife, mother and grandmother and was the glue that held the family together. She dearly loved her kids and grandkids. Vera also loved music and expressed this by whistling while she worked and singing for her family. The last solo she sang was on her 95th birthday during Sunday church services. Vera has many hobbies including hunting squirrel and rabbit while they were on the farm, as well as cooking, sewing and doing handwork. She is a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Cheyenne. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, Opal Fae Allen, 1 great grandson, Justin Wayne Allen, 1 great granddaughter, Skyla Allen Roark and husband, 3 sons-in-law, Jack Allen, Gordon Smith, Carol Burgess, 4 brothers, Jessie, Louie, J.D., Alfred, 1 sister, Emma Turner. Services will be held November 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Crawford School Gymnasium officiated by Rev. Janice Parkhurst, Rev. Roger Comstock, Rev. Robby Stewart, Rev. Thomas Peppers. Burial will be Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral service of Cheyenne. Survivors are her 3 daughters, Dorothy Smith, of Roll, Oklahoma, Florence Burgess, of Amarillo, Texas, and Kay Caudle, of the home; 10 grandchildren and spouses; 25 great grandchildren; 37 great grand- children.
