She was born February 12, 1920, to Wesley William and Mary Viola Hackier Hamilton. She grew up in the Con-8 and Cooperton communities. Ruby married R.W. "Dub" Cole December 23, 1939, in Cooperton, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She lived in Gotebo for many years before moving to Durham , Oklahoma in 1992. Ruby was a homemaker and attended the Holiness Church. Survivors include: one son, R.L. Cole and wife Mary of Durham, Oklahoma, numerous nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Mellis Cole of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dub Cole. Graveside services were held Monday, November 11, 2002 at the Gotebo Cemetery, Gotebo, Oklahoma. Officiating was Rev. Larry Spurlin of Crawford, Oklahoma. Interment was held in the Gotebo Cemetery under the direction of Hackey-Gish Funeral Home, Hobart, Oklahoma.
