She passed away in the Cheyenne Hospital January 14, 1965, at the age of 90 years, 9 month and 14 days. Genia Humphrey was married to James Franklin Cole March 12, 1893 at Canadian, Texas. They settled on the claim which Mr. Cole had staked in the run into Oklahoma on the Washita River. Mrs. Cole was a member of The Christian church since childhood. Into this union were born six children. Frank, Canadian, Texas; Winnie Cooper, Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Ray, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Georgia Ivy, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Dorothy Thomas, Durham, Oklahoma; Hazel Peterson, Cleveland, Oklahoma. Mr. Cole preceded her in death in 1939. The survivors are the six children, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother and three sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.
