She passed away Jully 31, 2003 in Edina, Minnesota at the age of 94 years. Hardy moved to Roger Mills County with her parents. She was married to John Fred Clay at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on December 24, 1934. They continued to live in Roger Mills County where they operated a farm on the Washita River in the Crawford Community. After John passed away she moved into Cheyenne. She enjoyed many early morning coffe breaks with her friends especially Veta Pearl Barton and her niece, Gertrude Flesher. In 1987, she moved to Edina, Minnesota and lived with her daugher Judy Jolene (J.J.) and husband, Frank Norante. She was the beloved mother, best friend and Hero o her daughter. Special tanks to Angie Taylor, for her companionship and compassion. Hardy Lowe was also loved by many family, friends and neighbors who will warmly remember her wonderful spirit. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and crossword puzzles very much and made many afghans for her friends in Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Fred Clay, granddaughter, Nicole, her parents, Bertie Lee Kelly and Hardy Christopher Loftin and her sisters, Vernolia Stewart, Opal Fine, Leola Widener and M'Tessie Chandler, Hardy Lowe enjoyed eight wonderful years in Minnesota with Judy and Frank and her many friends but her heart and spirit never left Oklahoma. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law J.J. and Frank Norante, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held Friday, August 8, 2003 at 10:00 AM at Crawford Magnolia Baptist Church, officiated by Terry Beals. Burial will be at the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
