Martin officiated with Clyde Denny assisting. Flora Mae Cole of Route One Durham, Oklahoma, departed this life April 1, 1981, at 5:30 p.m. in the home of her daughter, Mary June Brown, in Borger, Texas. Flo was born on November 6, 1893, in Erie Township, Miamia County, Peru, Indiana. She moved with her parents, Omar D. Lucas and Mary Gertrude Lucas to Roger Mills County, 7 miles west of Roll at the age of 6 years. On October 24, 1926 she was united in marriage to Robert Lee Cole. To this union was born one child, Mary June, of Borger, Texas. Flo and Lee had been married 54 years, 5 months, 5 days. Flo was converted in the Nazerene Church in 1922. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, John and Deb Lucas. Survivors include her husband, Lee Cole; daughtger, Mary June Brown; 3 grandchildren, Patsy Blakley of Amarillo, TX, Michael Brown of Dallas, TX and Debbie Brown of Borger, TX; 2 great grandchildren, Michele and Mandy Blakley of Amarillo, TX; 3 sisters, Elsie Jones, Hallie Hanawalt, and Nena Cannon. At the time of her passing Mrs. Cole was also survived by 2 brothers, Fred and Jack Lucas all of Roger Mills County. Jack followed her in death April 3rd. Interment was in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, OK with Rose Chapel Funeral Service in Charge of arrangements.
