All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Clifft, Field, McFarland, Tipps, Beecham, Voltz Edward Arthur Clifft, Jr., was born on February 15, 1939 in Hammon, the son of Edward A. and Grace Field Clifft, and died Wednesday January 20, 1993 in the Sayre Memorial Hosptial at the age of 53. Mr. Clifft was a graduate of Hammon High School and he made annual trips to Hammon for the Hammon High School reunion. He served in the United States Army in France. After leaving the service, he was employed by the Hartford Insurance Co. for a number of years before going to work for the Kennedy Insurance Co. Until his death, he was employed by the Property Insurance Co. Mr. Clifft was a member of the Church of Christ. He was very close to his family and as always supportive of them. He was a devoted father and brother. He is survived by one son, Stephen Clifft, of Oklahoma City; one brother, Jimmie Clifft, of Hammon; and three sisters: Loretta McFarland of Lincoln Calif; Irene Tipps of Ardmore, and Voncille Beecham of Elk City; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Vinolla Voltz.
