"Lonnie" Clayton were held July 12, 1989 at the First Baptist Church of Hammon. Lonnie was born in Clinton, Okla., on May 10, 1920 and passed away July 10, 1989 at the age of 69. Lonnie attended the Pie Flat School, east of Hammon. He entered miliary service and served in both World War II and the Korean War. He married Nina Miller on October 4, 1947 in Clinton. He worked for the State Highway Department, Clement Oil Co., the Hammon Police Department and Hammon Co-op where he retired in 1985. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Hammon. He is survived by his wife, Nina, of the home; one daughter, Katie Clayton of Hammon; one son, Tom Clayton of Deleon, TX; one brother, Shorty Clayton of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
