Obit for Lavetta Harmon Clark

Lavetta Harmon Clark was born May 25, 1934 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to
Allie and J.E. Harmon.  She passed away June 22, 2002 in Elkview General
Hospital in Hobart, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years and 27 days.

Her parents moved to Doxey when she was a child.  She grew up in the
Doxey-Sayre area and graduated from Sayre High School in 1951.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, James Lynn Hill, 1
brother Adrian Harmon, and a son-in-law, Paul Phillips.

Services will be held Tuesday June 25, 2002 p.m. at Whinery-Savage
Chapel, officiated by Henry Fletcher.  Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery,
Elk City, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of Whiney-Savage
Funeral Service.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Barbara Phelps and husband of Vicksburg,
MS; Glen and Cheryl Phillips of Elk City, OK; 1 sister Lucille Jones of Elk
City, OK, 1 brother Garvin Harmon and wife Elva of Oklahoma City, OK, 7
grandchildren, Stacey Cox, Julie Louis, Jeremy Hill, James Lyn Hill, Jr.,
Jodie Coats, Misti Coats, Shelby Coats; 4 step grandchildren, 8 great
grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends.
