All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Coon, Curry, McGlothlin Mary Victoria Coon, 84, of Durham, Okla., was born at the homeplace near Hamburg, Okla., on Jan. 2, 1904 to Edward N. and Jane Cole McGlothlin and passed away Monday, May 30, 1988 at the home. She married Hanna G. Curry on Feb. 23, 1924. They lived in Redyon and then in Cheyenne. To this union 2 sons were born, Norman R. Curry of Perryton, TX and Perry Glen Curry of McLean, TX. Following the death of Mr. Curry in 1930, Mary returned to the homeplace to live. Mary and Ralp D. Coon were married on Jan. 21, 1937 in Sayre, Okla. They remained on her parent's homeplace to make their home. They were the parents of one son, Jack W. Coon of Claremore, Okla. Mary had been a member of the Church of Christ for over 50 years. In addition to her husband, Ralph and 3 sons, other survivors include her step-daughter, Virgie Mae Ballenger of Perryton, TX.; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Other than her first husband, those who preceded her in death were her parents and 3 brothers. Funeral services were conducted We., June 1, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. in the Crawford School Gymnasium with Johnny Freeman and Willard Cox officiating. Interment followed in the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, OK under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne. Pallbearers were: Grandsons, Randy Curry, Alan Curry, Mike Coon, Bruce Coon, Norman Joe Ballenger, also: Billy McGlothlin and Larry McGlothlin. Honorary Pallbearers were: Jesse Wright, Lowell Malson, Jack Davis, Willis Malson and L.L.
