Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma on Monday, March 19, 1951 with Rev. J.L. Davis, Methodist minister of Reydon conducting the graveside service. Burial was under the direction of the Moore Funeral Home of Reydon. Pall Bearers were Joe Merritt, Claude Young, Carl Brown, Mart Poindexter, Claude Barber and Frank Barber. A sister, Mrs. Phoebe Owen of Reydon is the only immediate survivor. Mr. Cann came to Roger Mills County in 1896 and homesteaded in the pier "Flat community where he resided until about two years ago when he suffered a broken hip. Since that time he resided with his sister, Mrs. Owen, until a few weeks ago when he was taken to the Erick hospital. Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were a nephew Clyde Young, and wife of Tulsa, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Young and Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Gowdy of Elk City.
